The Supernatural
The supernatural plays a leading role in Macbeth. This is seen through the prophecies told and apparitions called upon by the witches, the foreshadowing in the natural elements of weather, and recurring hallucinations rooted in guilt. Do you ever feel like cosmic events line up to determine the course of your daily life? Do you even believe it is possible for supernatural forces to determine someone’s fate?

i believe supernatural events can influence your fate, but they cant determine it. 10% of life is what happens to you, the other 90% is how you respond.

yes and becasue you can choose your own fate your own way of living. BUt then again if something happens un planned it could be supernatural forces.

Agreed nothing is ever impossibal but i do think that we as people determine our own fate i really dont think their something bigger out their saying oh hey im going to drop a piano on his head today, because in the long run it will help him. I don't think that, that part would be plasabale

I don't believe that cosmic events line up to determine the course of your daily life only I determine it. I think super stitions are thing that should only be held in the past so we can keep moving into the future without fear.

I do not believe that cosmic mumbo jumbo alters my daily life. I believe that everyone has their own free agency to choose what he/she wants to do. I believe that only God can determine your fate but even then hes most likely not going to tell you so you can live your life how you want to instead of worrying about the choices you make and the effects it will have on the future.

I agree with jbreezy, life is not about how things line up for you or what happens to you, its about what you do when these things to happen to you, and no i don't believe that supernatural forces can determine someones fate

I beleive that supernatual events and cosmic events are random and they can not affect your fate they can sometimes lead you a stray with obsticles but pleople need to know to stay focused on there goals and live life overcoming these obsticles.

i personally think that cosmic such as wheather cant really decide your fate or anything. i dont think that it will change to specifically set a course for your life but it may hav an impact. for example in the book every time someone dies or is going to die the wheather gets cloudy and rainy. in our world things that dramatic dont necisarily happen but if its a cloudy day out it doesnt mean that your day will suck. it might have an ompact on your day for sure because if you wake up and its cold and gloomy out it might change your mood at first and it may make you feel sad but it is up to you if you feel like that all day.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you saying that supernatural and cosmic events are random. But therefore, that makes me think that they very well COULD affect your fate. Cosmic and supernatural events are out of our control and could be the reason why things happen to us and we didn't do anything to cause them.

I believe one 100% that people have free will i think that the super natural plays a role in temptation and gives us decisions but I dont think that they force or make certain things to happen. However they are totally aware of what happens so i agree with you god gives us free will and I learned that early on!!! However I do agree with bull3t12 supernatural and cosmic events do happen everyonce in a while randomly but not for a random reason.

I suppose that sometimes it can feel like odds are against you; ~Kai Smith has a good point that nothing is entirely impossible, but in all totality I believe that the course of our daily lives are determined simply by how our minds will select to react.

I believe that cosmic events do line up with our daily lifes. I agree with McLovin that somethings happen dues to the way we react to past events. No, i don't think that supernatural force can affect our events and daily lives, but i don't believe in supernatural events so i am being biased

anything is possible especially when it comes to the unexplainable. think about the stories that have to do with the 9/11 attacks, one of my favorites is where a man takes a walk in the park on that morning unlike everyother morning and arives at work late just as the planes are crashing. now what caused him to take a random walk? in my opinion he had a bit of paranormal help.

I agree with Llama Z fate is just something that people think is possible but think of it this way what is fate? is fate like something that will happen no matter what like becoming king or is it something that will happen in the future that you don't know about unless you have some way of telling the future. I don't believe in fate i cant accept that there is something controling my life maybe some times weird things happen but thats not fate its not going to happen just because im destined for it to. Facebook tells me that because im this age way this much and im this tall that I'm going to die in paris under a tree during a lightning storm. Does this mean its true no way but if by some weird way i do die that way then wow is that weird.

I don't really think that supernatural forces can shape daily life unless you believe that Karma is a supernatural force, but that's just my opinion. And honestly, I don't think there is a such thing as fate. What you do in life and what happens to you is all by your choice.

i don't believe that the supernatural can change a persons fate but i do believe that the supernatural can have a huge impact on peoples decisions just like how the witches and Banquo's ghost infuenced all of Macbeth's decision to the point where he could't make any him self.

The Supernatural theme plays a huge role in Macbeth. It is shown through the prophecies and the foreshadowing of the weather and the references to the animals - those can be shown to the fate, guilt and the supernatural theme!

i strongly believe that things happen to me all the time that are out of my control. and i agree with what jbreezy said about how we react to what happens. how we react to the supernatural things that happen in our lives determines how we would react to the things we CAN control...and vise versa.

Yes, I definetly think that the supernatural can determine aspects of an individual's fate. That is, if they can find them. Finding someone who claims to tell fortunes and finding someone who does are two completely different tasks. As for "cosmic events", I believe the word cosmic refers to having to do with the stars and space. So thinking that astral occurences affect my day to day life, no. I'm not buying that...

Many people say, "We need to understand that many parts of life are out of our control." This statement suggests that there are things we can and cannot control. I believe that the way we react to what we cannot control determines our fate.

No, super natural forces are not prophecy related, events happen to people from hard work or lack of work, Macbeth worked hard but in the wrong ways and that's why he was going to die, no one like a jerk.

I don't think that supernatural events can determine a persons fate. You have the power to do what you want and to determine what will happen to you. Nothing is certain until it happens. And just because somebody tells you it'll happen doesn't mean it will, but if you keepng thinking about it over and over and over its eventually going to happen because your trying to avoid the situation but your really just walking right into it.

I do believe that cosmic events line up to determine the daily course of my life. I believe that i personally cause those events to lead up to what happens. i do not believe it is possible for supernatural forces to determine someone’s fate. I believe we choose our courses in life and create our tomorrow.
